A Current Brand
H. Upmann is a pre-revolution brand established in 1844.
It is a Habanos Global brand with a significant market share.
Comprises light to medium strength cigars using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region.
There is a non-Cuban brand with the same name.

Release History
All (except one) of the Standard Production cigars were released pre-1960.
There was special pre-1960 packaging that was discontinued in the 1980s.
Special Releases commenced in 1999 with the inclusion of H. Upmann cigars in the Siglo XXI Humidor.
There have been numerious subsequent Special Releases, commencing in 2004.
The H. Upmann brand currently consists of twelve Standard Production cigars.

Packaging: Unnumbered black-lacquered BN case (20,000 made), 9 brands, 10 cigars.
Status: A 2009 release. Boxes date from DIC 08.
History: This release is a replica of a special commemorative case gifted to attendees of the tenth Habanos festival in Cuba. The case contains a selection of standard production cigars released in the previous ten years. The case comes in a white cardboard outer box (that has the box and warranty seal attached) and a soft material cover to protect the high gloss presentation case.
