A Current Brand
San Cristóbal is a post-revolution brand launched in late 1999.
The full name is San Cristóbal de la Habana, which was the original name of Havana, Cuba’s capital city when it was founded in 1519.
This brand is not related to a pre-revolution brand of the same name.
It is a Habanos Niche brand with a minor market share.
Comprises light to medium strength cigars using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region.

Release History
Four cigars were included in the original 1999 release. Each cigar was named after a fort that protected old Havana in the Spanish Colonial days.
Special Releases commenced in 2004 with the release of the 5 Aniversario Humidor.
The three new cigars from the 2004 humidor were subsequently put into standard production in 2006. Each cigar was named after an ancient street in the old Havana.
There have been a number of subsequent Special Releases, commencing in 2009.
The San Cristóbal brand currently consists of seven Standard Production cigars.
There are no discontinued cigars in this brand.

Cigars: Handmade.
Bands: Standard band A, plus a X Festival del Habano band.
Packaging: Black-lacquered BN case (20,000 made), 9 brands, 10 cigars.
Status: A 2009 release.  Boxes date from DIC 08.
History: This release is a replica of a special commemorative case gifted to attendees of the tenth Habanos festival in Cuba. The case contains a selection of standard production cigars released in the previous ten years. The case comes in a white cardboard outer box (that has the box and warranty seal attached) and a soft material cover to protect the high gloss presentation case.
